BOTM: U.P.P.E.R. C.L.A.S.S. - part 1

Gerard Vroomen - 03-Mar-2017
With the launch of the new U.P.P.E.R. (I'm already hating the name, it takes so much time to type it with those periods all the time), it won't surprise you that our March Bike Of The Month is a special version of it: the U.P.P.E.R. C.L.A.S.S.

And because we just did the launch and the CrossFondue, we had our photo/videographer Marc on hand to make a quick video of it. Apologies for the mediocre sound, my gracious dismount dislodged the transponder somewhat. Coming up soon, the photos, the specs and lots more videos. Stay tuned!

U.P.P.E.R. C.L.A.S.S. isn't an acronym for anything is it? Unbeaten Path Performance Enhanced Ride Carbon Layup Absolutely Super Solid? Or something like that. ;-)

I do have to agree about the new name feeling inappropriate. Does one have to be from the "upper class" to enjoy?

It's just that with all the black components, it's a classy looking U.P.P.E.R. As always, our BOTM names are a bit whimsical, definitely not to be taken too seriously.

Great job guys. So how do I buy this March bike of the month U.P.P.E.R. C.L.A.S.S - looks amazing. Is it only though your approved retailers or can I buy direct? Peter

We don't exactly sell complete bikes. We sell framesets, via retailers or sometimes direct depending on where people live. Our OPEN retailers can also build the bike exactly how you want, whether that is exactly like this BOTM or with a few tweaks or completely differently. Via the direct sales, we don't offer complete bikes, just framesets and select parts that can be hard to get in some places.

Hi Gerard,

Appreciate the response, thank you! I realized right after posting that most of the information is up on your cool website here. I've also been conversing with Chad over at EnduranceWERX in NYC and he's been very informative/responsive, overall really great to deal with. Amazing bike, keep the videos coming!

Sorry wimsical or not 'upper class' is a big turn off as is the boring black sorry guys. I like the bright primary colors.
But feedback is important I think so there it is.

Hi Laurence, thanks for the feedback. Not everybody will like everything we do, we can accept that. And with sayings and expressions having different connotations around the world, that's almost unavoidable. As for the color, that's why we have different colors and the Ready-To-Paint program. All the best, Gerard.

Hi Laurence, the UP also comes in an RTP version, but of course it comes standard in brighter and browner options anyway.
