BOTM: ONE + ENVE = BEAUTIFUL FUN - part 1

Gerard Vroomen - 27-Oct-2016
With the extended September BOTM (and deservedly so, Andy's own machine is a beauty), the October BOTM will be short and sweet. It features the best that the industry has to offer right now when creating a light, rock-solid, go-anywhere machine. SRAM 1x drivetrain, huge stability and traction due to the new, wide ENVE rims and ditto Schwalbe tires and despite all that, an impressively low weight.

The photos were shot in Park City, UT by our friend Steve Grapple, after a good hard ride.

haha! Yes, without pedals it must've been one, good, hard ride! ;-P Never ridden such large tires. Seem overkill to me.

Yes indeed after a long hard ride. As I mentioned, this was Park City, this was one of our demo bikes so it was ridden all day by various journalists who bring their own shoes and pedals and then take them off afterwards.

To explain, Park City was the location for Press Camp where the media can test ride all sorts of stuff for a few days.

The beefy tires are really cool on those wide rims. Gotta be amazing traction.
Can't wait to read the overall weight...

That is starting to look like a steed suitable for the National XC rounds here in UK! I've been riding a Trek Top Fuel Carbon susser this year, as the courses are steeper and rougher than ever. But with the right skill levels there are still maybe 4-5 rounds where a hardtail with the right tyres & rims (30-ish internal rims and 2.2/2.35 tyres seems about right) would hack it and save a kilo or more in weight. These are not gentle courses any more, lots of sharp edge rocks and drops and chutes. Anyone got any national level XC race experience with this geometry yet?

The geometry is basically the same as on the O-1.0 so lots of experience already with this geo. Including World Cups and the Rio Olympics (not one of the top riders obviously, since they don't buy their bikes and we don't sponsor).

OK, thats encouraging. Can I ask Andy where to get a test ride in the next 3 months or so in UK or Northern Europe on a medium size.
I'd possibly want to purchase for delivery in March/April 2017. I've had a chat with your dealer in Manchester UK, but they can't offer a test ride. Thanks Graham
