Sometimes little things take time....it seems so easy but its not. It would obviously be easiest to supply with every frame a touch up paint bottle. Impossible our painter needs a special license for that which he can not get.



We have been working on touch up paint for a while and offer it in Europe since a couple of months. Try to get that over to the USA? Impossible! You need to have a special education to deal with logistics of explosives and guess what you can only ship that stuff ground-so that's a bit difficult. So we had to restart the very time consuming process in the USA and beginning of January 2019 we will finally have touch up paint available in the USA. You can order that through our webshop. Check back first week of January when it should be live.

Next development that looks so simple and took over a year. With Shimano DI2 and Sram ETAP getting more popular we had to find a nice solution for the holes in the bottom bracket (the current cable guide is held in place by the tension of the shift cable) as well as in the chain stay and then also one of our famous cable entry guide with just one hole for the brake cable. That's the beauty of our frames you can make them compatible with any future shifting systems. And after a year - that passed by so quickly- we will have a new kit available that contains those 3 little items that can be used both for Shimano DI2 (the Shimano entry guide comes with every frame) and Sram E-Tap. This kit should be available end of January 2019.



Two non OPEN items that I would like to feature.

We had a lot of request for a Chris King headset that will fit the NEW UP/ UPPER frame. Now finally Chris King has one available and its called the DropSet 2. Item Number in black is FB2002 and description is DS42IDS52 45. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you don't need the crown race supplied in that kit.



Last but not least I do assemble a lot of tubeless tires during a season. Even it got much easier to find tire-rim combinations that you can actually pump up with a normal pump it is sometimes still a hassle. Here comes the perfect solution for tubeless from Schwalbe the tire booster. Not something I would take in my hand luggage in a plane(same as touch up paint...) but it works very well.

You don’t mention Canada ! I bought my orange Open UP from the Eleven. The touch up paint is something I’ve been looking for. Will it be available here ?

Hi Robert, yes no problem for Canda we just have to ship ground so it might take a while. Its life in the store now

Does the tire booster work better than CO2 canisters? I have never found one that pumps air fast. But the CO2 shoots liquid into the tire that gets expanded inside.

Hi Ivo, I actually like the performance of the CO2 canisters. As you say they work well in the same time I hate them as I had once a tire slipping off and exploding in front of my face because there was kind of to much pressure for a short moment. I had Stans all over :-)

lol I can imagine, been there -- I had a "plus" (semi-fat) tire refusing to seat properly, so I inflated it to 3 bar. It seems they are rated for up to 2.5 bars, so the bead exploded in my face

Glad to see the new DI2 frame parts and also King headset! (I have never "wanted" to wear out a headset in my life- But I would love to have a King).

Will you also be offering direct mount rear derailleur hangers for Shimano?

Hi John, nothing planned for direct mount those days. We had it in the pipeline for a while but as Shimano offers options we cancelled the project

I can find the paint, but there is no ‘add’ button to put it in my basket! How do I buy this, as I am getting chips on my frame at an alarming frequency...

Is the Chris King headset available as an option on a new frameset? In other words, can a new frame be purchased with the Chris King headset instead of the Cane Creek headset (presumably with an upcharge for the King headset)? The Chris King parts that I have had have been fantastic, so I try to get them when possible.

Touch up paint does not match factory paint!
Ordered Open Cycle Grey touch up paint from this site for my Grey Open Upper.
The touch up paint is several shades darker than the grey factory paint.
How can I get this corrected?

Hi Trace, I replied to you by mail. This touch UP paint is for the WI.DE model. Lets try to figure out what you have exactly as the only other model ever produced in grey was the Assos limited edition

For the CK headset, you mention that it fits the "New" UP/UPPER frames. I have the original UP (post mount) - am I to assume the DropSet2 will not work on this frame?

Dear Scott, It should work the only difference that with the 3T fork you have to use the crown race. On the U Turn thats already integrated
